Keep the Whig Momentum Going: No Candidates with Hair Plugs

Wait, is the Presidential election this year? Is that was all that commotion was on television? Sorry, but we’ve been busy watching HBO and who reads newspapers anymore?

Well, we at the Whig Party National Committee have to admit: we forgot the election is this year. We forgot to get the party on any of the ballots this year. If anyone out there has any advice as to maybe how we can convince the Colorado Secretary of State that it wouldn’t cost all that much to reprint ballots by adding the Whig Party, please let us know.

Also, we forgot to confirm if Dave Barry in fact accepted the nomination. We remember he won the Pennsylvania Primary and I believe the Iowa Caucus in a hard fought write-in campaign where he got, I believe the one person who voted, and that’s all we got around to holding. We were going to hold a caucus in New York, but it was too hot and we had other things to do.

So, let’s keep the Whig movement going. On to 2012, whenever that is.

Comments:
Mr. Tchaikovsky,

In accordance with section 1-4-303 (1) Colorado Revised Statutes, the deadline to submit a notarized statement of intent and a non-refundable fee of $500 to the Colorado Secretary of State was by 140 days before the election or by June 17, 2008 and the deadline to file the certificate of nomination of presidential electors was by 60 days before the election or by September 5, 2008 according to section 1-4-701 (2) (d) (3) C.R.S.

Also the deadline to certify the ballot was by September 8, 2008.

Let me know if you have any questions.
